Kronik otitis media, sık görülen fakat özellikle antibiyotik kullanımının yaygınlaşmasıyla komplikasyona daha seyrek yol açan bir klinik antitedir. Kolesteatomlu kulaklarda daha sık görülen bu komplikasyonlardan bir kaçının aynı anda görülmesi daha da nadir bir durumdur. Bu yazıda 68 yaşında erkek hastada aynı kulakta sensorinöral işitme kaybı, total periferik fasiyal paralizi ve lateral sinüs trombozu-obliterasyonu olgusu bildirilmiştir. Hastaya radikal mastoidektomi, fasiyal sinir dekompresyonu ve kulak obliterasyonu yapıldı.

A Case of Chronic Otitis Media with Multiple Complications

Chronic otitis media, is a common clinical entity that rarely causes complications after the widespread use of antibiotics. These complications are expected to exist more frequently in cholesteamatous chronic otitis media cases. However, the simultaneous co-existence of these complications is a more infrequent situation. In this article, we report a case with sensorineural hearing loss, total peripheral facial nerve paralysis and lateral sinus thrombosis. Later, radical mastoidectomy, facial nerve decompression, and ear obliteration were performed.
